Katie O’Hara joined the Baltimore Philharmonia Orchestra following the pandemic and finds great fulfillment in sharing music through collaborative performance. Her fondest memories of the BPO are the light-hearted banter and shared laughter during rehearsals that build a true sense of community. Outside of the orchestra, Katie works full-time for a non-profit organization in Washington, D.C. While Shostakovich is her favorite composer, her favorite symphonic work is Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis. In her spare time, she is an active swimmer and loves spoiling her "fur children"—her dog and cats.
